I will be 57 in 5 months 😁👊🏻

11 years ago I was a suicidal, pill popping, party girl.
I had clinical depression, anxiety, eating disorders and had been hospitalized three times.
I also had chronic IBS, UTIs and osteoarthritis.
I was on a one way ticket to a very early grave.

Today I am med free.
Pain free!
I am strong AF! 💪🏻
I am BURSTING with health, vitality & energy!
I sleep like a baby!
I still say thank you when I go to the bathroom it all runs so smoothly!!

I have completely transformed myself physically & mentally!!!

Honored to be given this journey for this lifetime 🙏🏻 🏎️ ❤️

Muscle Mass is the Holy Grail of Bodybuilding 💪🏻

Bodybuilding is an art form in my humble opinion.
We are "sculpting" our body!
We chase muscle mass. Gains! 💪🏻
Through the "bulk" phase.
But building muscle without gaining fat is not easy..

So..

The goal of the "cut" phase is to strip fat (and water) and RETAIN muscle mass.
To reveal all the hard earned gains!

This is the cycle & lifestyle of bodybuilding.
That I absolutely LOVE! ❤️

While it is impossible to choose where you lose fat.
It is absolutely possible to lose fat and RETAIN muscle.
But it is VERY challenging!

I starting reducing calories for this shoot in October 22.
With the scan in December it was clear I was NOT on track.
And I needed to change something in order to reduce the muscle loss.

In previous cuts I have lost up to 2kgs of my hard earned muscle.
And while I usually regain it, building muscle is a VERY slow process.
So I basically undo YEARS of work 😠
Lucky for me I LOVE lifting so I am willing pay the price.

But what could I try this cut to limit the damage?

Although the baseline condition we started from this time was streets ahead of previous cuts.
The results speak for themselves.
The corrections we made in December worked a treat!

Only losing 300 grams of muscle over the most aggressive part of the cut phase...?
This is an AMAZING result!

Nutrition, recovery & conditioning all play a part.
Arguably in that order.
Its always experimenting and seeing how your body responds.
Which of course is different every cut!
Particularly as I am not 25 they keep telling me... 🙄

I am more proud of this achievement than the six pack!!
I literally have total control of my body composition!! 👌🏻

I am living the bodybuilders dream!! 🙏🏻💪🏻🏎

Make no mistake..
I am NOT the mastermind behind my achievements in the gym.
I just do as I am told!
Sure I provide the commitment and discipline to achieve my incredible health & physique.

But my 56 year young body is riddled with weaknesses & pain.
And I have history of serious injuries which requires specialised, individualized programming.
Plus with my obsession & addiction to lifting… 🙄
I need to be kept in check! 😂

Having a coach is the fastest way to not only achieve but EXCEED your goals.
I ALWAYS lift heavier and push harder when I am with my coach!
I lift weight I didn't even know was possible for me.
The relationship also provides me with mentorship so I am continually learning & refining my craft.

Every good coach has an even better coach! 🥇

A coach sees your potential when you can't see it.
Provides accountability & education.
Challenges limiting beliefs.
Maximises results.
Provides support & boosts confidence.
Minimises the risk of injury!

I have had a coach since day one of my lifting journey.
I would never, EVER have achieved what I have, and continue to, on my own.

I prioritize my health above all else & working with a coach is part of my investment in myself & future self.

Jono and I have been together for 2 years now.
My strength, muscle mass & conditioning have all improved tenfold!
I am in the best shape of my life! 🏎
He has turned me into the athlete I was born to be.
Best move I have made to date on my lifting journey!

I have lost 4kgs in 5 months.
By FAR the easiest cut I have done 🙏🏻
And I have done 8 now!

I do all my own nutrition.
And..
I don’t count calories.
I don’t count macros.
I don’t weigh my food.
I just know what to do!
It’s just who I am 🤷🏼‍♀️
I was born to be a bodybuilder! 🏋️‍♀️
SO freakin blessed 🙏🏻

This cut I have focused on additional protein.
Fasted walks
Cold showers
Saunas
Sleep
Gut health
Preserving my immune system.

I have not lost much strength.
I am serious injury free.
Bit cranky however.. 😂

And the biggest win of all…
I am still eating beef mince, coloured veggies & oats!
(usually it’s just chicken & asparagus by now 😂)
My goal was to peak early which I have achieved!
MUCH easier to maintain than panic in the final week to lose more!

Really happy with this prep & the incredible condition I am in 🏎
The last two years with a new coach guiding me has seen my strength, conditioning & muscle mass increase.
I am in the best shape of my life!!!

Last shoot in 2020 I was 56kgs scale weight.
Just under 58kgs now with a week to go!
